Dear Trumbauer parents and students,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to share important details about our upcoming Overnight Field Trip at UAB for State Trumbauer on December 4-6. There is a ton of information to cover, so please look over this whole email.

This trip is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their theatrical work, attend theatrical performances from across the state, participate in professional workshops, and meet with representatives from college theatre programs across Alabama. Below, you will find key information to help you and your student prepare.
Trip Details
Dates: Departing GHS on December 4 at 6 pm (please arrive at the school at least 15 minutes in advance) and returning December 6 at approximately 11 pm

Students are responsible for lunch Friday and Saturday and dinner on Friday.
The hotel will have breakfast both days. Additionally, GHS Theatre will provide dinner for students on Saturday before we head home
Forms & Permissions
All students should have received a permission form. If you have not already, please return the field trip permission form before we leave on Thursday.
Hotel, Parent Attendance, and Chaperones
We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Birmingham - Inverness 280 by IHG. Address: 156 Resource Center Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35242
The official Trumbauer policy is no extra parents should be on campus unless they are registered as chaperones. Of course, I understand the desire to watch your child's performance and have no objection if you wish to do so. However, if you intend to drive down to Birmingham and stay at Trumbauer beyond just watching your students' performance, you will need to be registered as a chaperone.
Speaking of - we are still in need of 2 chaperones, one male and one female. If you are interested and available, please let me know ASAP.
Band Students
As those involved know, there is a band concert Friday night that will impact some students and their ability to get to Birmingham in a timely manner. If your student's schedule is dictated by band concert attendance, please let me know ASAP what your/your students' plans are concerning Trumbauer attendance, dates, times, etc.
ALL OTHER INFO
Students should be able to access all pertinent Trumbauer info (including on campus food offerings, workshop options, IE times, etc) through their knack account via Trumbauer.info. Students created an account back before District Trumbauer and should be able to login through the email given to me by them and password 12345. Click on STUDENT, then KNACK, login with email and password 12345, and lastly STATE FESTIVAL INFORMATION.
We are looking forward to a meaningful and memorable experience for our students. I hope this is everything, but if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your support!
