Grissom High School Theatre

We have a couple of important dates coming up.  Make
sure you have them on your calendar:

Theatre Parents Board Meeting - August 17th at 6:00 p.m. - Theatre office

Theatre I Parents Meeting - August 24th 6:30 - A/V Room
GHS Open House immediately following at 7:00.

Theatre 2,3,4 and Tech Parents Meeting - August 31st 7:00 - Chorale Room

Who: Any interested student grades 4-8

What: Musical Theatre Workshop

When: Sept. 24-25, 2010

Where: Grissom High School Auditorium

Cost: $75

Classes will be taught in all aspects of musical theatre: singing, dancing, and acting. No experience is necessary. There will be a performance for the families at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday with a reception following. Families will be admitted into the auditorium at 4:30.

Registration forms must be received by September 8th. When the registration form is received, music and a practice CD will be sent to the student. In order to make the best use of time at the workshop, it would be greatly appreciated if the students are familiar with the music when they arrive. Thank you for your interest. The Grissom Musical Theatre Department puts on a number of productions throughout the school year. Just the rights to put on these musicals and plays is very expensive, not to mention the cost of set construction, props, costumes, and all the other myriad tasks involved in putting on a quality performance.
